Polycaprolactone TPU Film & Sheet | Transparent, Abrasion-Resistant
Polycaprolactone TPU Film & Sheet
Polycaprolactone-based polyester TPU grades designed for technical films and sheets requiring transparency, abrasion and cut resistance, and low-temperature flexibility.
Suitable for laminates, surface protection films and thermoformed parts.

Abrasion-Resistant
Thermoformable
Low-Temperature Flex
Shore 80A–95A
Applications
PCL-TPU film and sheet grades are used where mechanical strength, flexibility and surface appearance must be combined in a thin format:
- Technical laminates – TPU layers laminated to textiles, foams or other films for outdoor gear, bags or industrial covers.
- Protective and sacrificial films – scratch-resistant surfaces for panels, devices and industrial components.
- Thermoformed shells and covers – flexible housings, guards and panels made from TPU sheets.
- Flexible window and view panels – clear or tinted panels where impact and flexing are expected.

Typical Grades for Film & Sheet
| Grade | Hardness | Key Performance | Processing | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PCL-TPU Film 85A | 85A | Flexible, high transparency, good tear resistance | Film extrusion | Transparent technical films, laminates |
| PCL-TPU Film 90A | 90A | Balanced stiffness and flexibility, abrasion resistance | Film / sheet extrusion | Protective films, surface layers |
| PCL-TPU Film 93A | 93A | Higher modulus, good thermoforming behavior | Sheet extrusion, thermoforming | Thermoformed shells, covers |
Note: Grades and hardness are for reference. Custom flow, hardness and optical properties can be tailored according to your film line and end use.
Key Advantages
- High transparency and gloss for premium appearance and visible laminates.
- Abrasion and cut resistance to protect underlying substrates and surfaces.
- Low-temperature flexibility compared with standard polyester TPU films.
- Good thermoformability for 2D films and 3D formed covers from the same base material.
- Strong bonding potential in lamination with textiles, foams or other plastics.

Processing & Recommendations
These grades are suitable for film and sheet extrusion, followed by optional thermoforming or lamination:
- Extrusion: typical melt temperature window 185–210 °C depending on grade and line design.
- Drying: 80 °C × 2–3 hours before processing to ensure stable optical quality and mechanical performance.
- Thickness range: commonly 0.05–1.0 mm for films, thicker for sheets and thermoforming stock.
- Lamination: can be heat-laminated or combined with adhesive systems depending on substrate.
