Polycaprolactone TPU Hose & Tube | Flexible, Low-Temperature, Kink-Resistant
Polycaprolactone TPU Hose & Tube
Polycaprolactone-based TPU compounds for flexible hose and tube, combining low-temperature flexibility, kink resistance and hydrolysis resistance.
Typical uses include air hoses, pneumatic tubing and fluid transfer lines that must stay flexible in cold environments.

Low-Temperature
Kink-Resistant
Abrasion-Resistant
Hydrolysis-Resistant
Applications
PCL-TPU hose and tube grades are used where flexibility, durability and surface quality are required over a wide temperature range:
- Air hoses and pneumatic lines for tools, equipment and automation systems.
- Instrumentation tubing for control panels, measurement devices and fluid circuits.
- Flexible fluid transfer lines where abrasion and bending fatigue are concerns.
- Coiled hoses that must recover shape while remaining soft in cold conditions.

Typical Grades for Hose & Tube
| Grade | Hardness | Key Performance | Processing | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PCL-TPU Hose 85A | 85A | Soft, highly flexible, good kink resistance | Hose extrusion | Air hoses, small-bore pneumatic tubing |
| PCL-TPU Hose 90A | 90A | Balance of flexibility and pressure resistance | Hose extrusion | General-purpose industrial hoses |
| PCL-TPU Hose 40D | 40D | Higher stiffness, abrasion and burst pressure | Hose / tube extrusion | Coiled hoses, outer layer for composite hoses |
Note: Grades and hardness are for reference only. Custom hardness, color and hydrolysis resistance can be developed for specific hose constructions.
Key Advantages
- Low-temperature flexibility for hoses used in cold climates or refrigerated areas.
- Kink resistance and elastic recovery for small bending radii and repeated flexing.
- Abrasion and cut resistance for dragging and contact with rough surfaces.
- Hydrolysis resistance for long-term exposure to moisture and humid environments.
- Smooth inner bore to reduce pressure drop and particle build-up.

Processing & Recommendations
These PCL-TPU compounds are designed for hose and tube extrusion using standard TPU lines:
- Extrusion: typical melt temperature window 185–210 °C depending on grade and line configuration.
- Drying: 80 °C × 2–3 hours to achieve stable viscosity and surface quality.
- Co-extrusion: can be used as single-layer hose or in multi-layer structures as outer or inner layer.
- Color: natural, translucent tints or opaque colors can be supplied according to your design.
