Celanese is repositioning its nylon business with two key actions:

  1. Closing its Sakra, Singapore plant (operations expected to end by end-July 2026).
  2. Optimizing North American nylon 66 polymerization facilities in Richmond, Virginia and Washington, West Virginia, USA.The moves are expected to reduce overall polymer output.

Cangzhou Dahua Halts TDI and PC Production for 20-Day Maintenance Starting May 7

Cangzhou Dahua announced a planned maintenance shutdown at its Juhai Branch.In line with chemical industry operational requirements and annual maintenance plans to ensure safe, stable and efficient performance,the toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and polycarbonate (PC) production lines will be suspended starting May 7, 2026, for approximately 20 days.The scheduled maintenance is not expected to materially affect the company’s operations or financial results.
