China has become the world’s largest PVC producer more than ten years ago. Up to now, China’s total PVC production capacity is about 25 million tons per year, accounting for more than 50% of the world. In China, there are nearly 70 PVC manufacturers. These include calcium carbide process and ethylene process. Almost 80% of the production capacity is produced by calcium carbide process.

In 2020, China exported nearly 800000 tons of PVC, but in 2021, due to the impact of the global epidemic, China became the world’s major PVC exporter, with an export volume of more than 1.5 million tons.
