After more than a year of implementation, the “Inner Mongolia Pilot Demonstration of Water Seepage Plastic Film Dry Farming Technology” project undertaken by Inner Mongolia Agricultural University has achieved phased results. At present, a number of scientific research achievements have been transformed and applied in some alliance cities in the region.

Seepage mulch dry farming technology is a technology that is mainly used in semi-arid areas in my country to solve the problem of white pollution in farmland, efficiently utilize natural precipitation resources, and improve crop yields in dry land. Significantly. In 2021, the Rural Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology will expand the pilot demonstration area to 8 provinces and autonomous regions including Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps based on the demonstration research and promotion work carried out in the early stage.

The key technology research of dry farming is one of the important contents of scientific and technological support for rural revitalization and development. In order to help improve the quality and efficiency of dry farming production, in 2022, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and Inner Mongolia Zhongqing Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., with the support of the Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department, Through industry-university-research cooperation, the project of “Transformation and Application of Technical Achievements of Seepage Plastic Film and Dry Farming Cultivation” is implemented. The project has carried out the transformation and application of the integrated cultivation technology achievements of biodegradable water seepage mulch, dry farming and hole seeding machines, aiming at the problems of difficult recovery of plastic film mulching, large residual amount and environmental pollution. The project team has integrated oat, millet and millet infiltration mulching film dry farming technology in 2021, as well as the bred “Mengnong Dayan” series of new oat varieties, the introduced “Baiyan” series and “Bayou” series and other new oat varieties. , The introduction and screening of new millet varieties such as yellow millet and white millet, and new millet varieties such as Xiaoxiangmi and Jingu No. 21 have been transformed, and corresponding technical regulations have been formed through the construction of demonstration bases.

According to Liu Jinghui, the leader of the industrial group of the Inner Mongolia Demonstration Area of ​​the seepage mulching technology and a professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University: “The project was carried out in Jiucaizhuang, Honghe Town, Wuliang Taixiang and Gaomao Spring in Qingshuihe County, Hohhot City. 1000 mu of dryland crops such as seed, soybean, corn and other 1,000 mu of dryland crops with water seepage biodegradable plastic film, one film and five lines of micro-furrow sowing, one film and two lines of micro-furrow sowing, seepage PE plastic film, one film, five-line micro-furrow sowing and other technologies. The comparative test shows that the dry farming technology of seepage plastic film can effectively improve the emergence rate of crops and soil water content at seedling stage, promote the growth of crops, and the degradation effect of plastic film has also reached the expected target. The seedling emergence rate of millet was 6.25%. The water-permeable plastic film and the water-degradable plastic film increased the soil water content of the millet seedling stage and the 0-40cm soil layer at the jointing stage by 12.1%-87.4% and 7%-38% respectively, which is the large-scale promotion of the next technology. The application lays the foundation.”
