On May 23, American dental floss brand Plackers®, launched EcoChoice Compostable Floss, a sustainable dental floss that is 100% biodegradable in a home compostable environment. EcoChoice Compostable Floss comes from Danimer Scientific’s PHA, a biopolymer derived from canola oil, natural silk floss and coconut husks. The new compostable floss complements EcoChoice’s sustainable dental portfolio. Not only do they provide the need for flossing, but they also reduce the chance of plastics going into oceans and landfills.
