Description

Features thermo plasticity, being insoluble into water, gasoline and alcohol, swelled or dissolved into ether, ketone, chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons, and aromatic hydrocarbon, high resistance to corrosion, and good dielectric property.

Applications

Widely used in pvc pipes, window profiles, films, sheets, tubes, shoes, fittings, etc.

See China PVC Exporting

China has become the world’s largest PVC producer more than ten years ago. Up to now, China’s total PVC production capacity is about 25 million tons per year, accounting for more than 50% of the world. In China, there are nearly 70 PVC manufacturers. These include calcium carbide process and ethylene process. Almost 80% of the production capacity is produced by calcium carbide process. 

From 2010 to 2014, China’s PVC export volume was about 1 million tons every year, but from 2015 to 2020, China’s PVC export volume decreased every year. In 2020, China exported nearly 800000 tons of PVC, but in 2021, due to the impact of the global epidemic, China became the world’s major PVC exporter, with an export volume of more than 1.5 million tons.

In the future, China will still play the most important role in PVC exporting globally.
